I went to Paris for a little while today. I'm going back tomorrow. Ok, maybe not physically... but the good part is that I didn't have to leave my hammock. Lately Madeline and I have been heading to the hammock in the early afternoon to study French. We put on some French music and sometimes bring un casse-croûte. We pour through exercises in the text book but occasionally look for une distraction accueillie. I have a small book of impressionists views of Paris.
Gustave Caillebotte's Rainy Day, Paris Street is one of my favorites. I'm absolutely transported. Are there paintings that take you places. If you could step into one right now, which would you choose?
One day we'll truly get to Paris. I can already smell the croissants! Buon Nuit!
