Everyday, small, incredible things are taking place. Sometimes we notice. Often we don't. These can be everyday occurrences in nature. Have you ever watched a flower open up to embrace the sunshine? How about a bee gathering pollen to take back to the hive where liquid golden honey is being produced? One time in Hawaii a giant sea turtle swam right up to me. Today, I watched the sun stream through our trees causing the fall colors to leap about and dance. Incredible.
Think about the last time you were moved to tears through music, ballet, art... perhaps. Somehow our busy and distracted, possibly hardened or cynical selves let down the guard long enough to be moved... to connect with something greater. Incredible.
And what about those moments when you connect with another person? Maybe it's a friend who can read your thoughts, or maybe it's the clerk at the grocery store who appreciates your warm smile and sincere interest in his day. Or we could be considering a chance encounter with a homeless person. That tremendous opportunity to reach out and help another, maybe even taking a moment to listen and pray with her. Incredible.
I truly believe that God is a brilliant orchestrator. Tears of joy and warm fuzzy moments are gifts from Him. We just need to open our eyes and our hearts. So what is your favorite small incredible moment?
