A while back, I set a goal to complete a painting a day for a year and post it on Facebook. Somehow I am now at over 1,000 without missing a day... so even when I'm sick, even when I'm traveling...
I do have a working studio, but have found that the studio is wherever you spill your paints; whether I'm at the beach or in the vineyards, waiting in my car at my daughter's ballet, or over in the classroom at our church. If I wait until I'm home to go into my working studio to paint, not a lot would get accomplished. You have to snatch the time when you can get it.
I studied art at Otis Art Institute of Parsons School of Design about a bazillion years ago. I finished my education at Loyola Marymount University and continued at various venues including Pasadena Art Center. Then I put my degree to use by working in the White House for a few years! Hmmm. Long story short, married, raised and homeschooled three fantabulous kids who are now working on various degrees that will probably land them in the White House as well...
With my near empty nest, I am stretching my art in new directions, illustrating children's books and focusing a bit more on the commercial side of art. FUN! I am so hoping to NOT have to work at "Taco Bell" and be able to spend this next chapter doing what I love.

He is the creator; and we are created in His image... I suppose that is what makes me want to paint. I just want to magnify all that He has given us, and bring Him glory.
